MY HISTORY!

I am going to explain to you my history and the History of where my family and I come from. I will focus on the culture, the Famous places and people, the Parishes and the history.

The best thing about My History and About Me is that my mom and dad are Bajan which means that they come from Barbados and that at least 90% of my family is Bajan. My mother immigrated here when she was about 16 and my father came about the same time.

PARISH

A parish is to Bajans as Borough is to Americans. There are many different parishes in Barbados.

2. Saint Andrew
3. Saint George
4. Saint James
5. Saint John
6. Saint Joseph
7. Saint Lucy
8. Saint Michael
9. Saint Peter
10. Saint Philip
11. Saint Thomas

Each Parish has different things in it. Each Parish has different towns that make it special.

Christ church has Oistens. Oistens is a major fishing area. Also every Friday they have fish fry and Careoke. Another large area in Christ Church is Saint Lawrence Gap which is the major Tourist site of Oistens.

Saint Andrew is one of the more grassy areas in Babrados. It has the most elevated area in Barbados Which is Mount Hillaby.

Saint George is in the center of the island. This Parish has Gun Hill which is one of the few signal stations that are left since 1818!

Saint James is the "Hollywood" Parish of Barbados. A lot of Tourism takes place here because of the good food and shopping. Holetown is the historical landmark of Barbados.

Saint John is the very intelegent part of the country. It has most of the most prestegious schools.

Saint Joseph has the main town of Bathsheba. This Parish is the Botanical part of the town. It has the 2 best botanical gardens which are Flower Forest and Andromeda Gardens.

Saint Lucy is the first Parish in Barbados to be named after a woman. It is one of the less populated Parishes of Barbados.

Saint Micheal is where the Capital of Barbados is. The Capital is Bridgetown which is like manhattan in New York. It is also home to one of the most Prestigious colleges in Barbados which is Harrisons College.

Saint Peter is the only Parish in Barbados with a coastline on the its East and Western sides. It is also one of the islands hot spots for tourism.

Saint Phillip is the largest Parish in Barbados. It is flat to sea level. It is also known as the country because it is the largest area of crop culmination. It also does not have a real "city" but has villages.

Saint Thomas is the center of the island of Barbados.

SLAVERY IN NEW YORK!

When I put the words "Slavery In New York" in the search box I got 2,440,000 results. Then I used the google Advanced Search and I put that the word Exhibit should not be found in any of the websites I got 25,000 results.

MAYAN CIVILIZATION!

When I put the words Mayan Civilization in the google search box I got 1,890,000 results. Then I used google Advanced Search and put Customes as the word that should not be found on any Website and I got 266,000 results.

Searching The Web!

This is a good website on Immigration.I obtained my nformation on google on the 3rd page. This was the good site I found.It Shows many other topics on Immigration and It gives you many other links.

The other peice of information I obtained on Immigration was found on ask.com. This site is the bad site because it has a lot of Information but the way it is set up is very confusing.

This is a good site on WW1. This is a good site because it has many links about WW1 and it has a n explanation on all the battles.

This is a bad site on WW1. It does not give that much information about WW1. It gives you links with things that lead to WW1 and things that happened during WW1.

The Peer review

I peer reviewed Andre's I am blog and It was very nice compared to how he acts in class! He likes to play the Electric Guitar and many other instruments. He is all about the girls and the games *cough* yeah right! He gets sad when his guitar string breaks and many other things. When he is happy he acts weird and funny so I guess hes funny all the time. He wants to be a scientist and a musician. He lives in Jamaica Queens with his family and friends. A quote from Andre's I am blog "I am thankful for my life and i hope that all my drems come true in high school."

I Am!

Hello, my name is Rashad Prescod and I am a 13 year old ...Grown man attending ITHS, or in other words Info Tech High School! I have a sister, a mother and a father. I also have many, many cousins and aunts and uncles but I don't have time to name all of them. My favorite place to be is Barbados so that is why I am Using these colors!

My old School that i used to attend was I.S.59. I liked the school and I had nice teachers, well... some nice teachers. Here at ITHS I have nice teachers so far. Well Mr. Moloney is one of them. He Likes sweaters I know that much and Mr.Cohan is nice to. All I know Is that he likes comic books and the gym teacher who's name escapes me...I think its Mr. Killer....hes a cool dude to.

I want to be a Game Designer when I grow up. Or I can be a game tester. Which ever one pays more, that is the one I will choose. I would also become a 1st grade teacher just to boss the kids around. I'm not bossy but little kids for some reason like to chase me. I want that job for payback.

I have a good life. I'm very Busy and I'm never home. I would tell you some of the places I go but I don't feel like it so lets just say ::THAT'S CLASSIFIED::. My friends get mad at me when they call my house and my parents always tell them "He's not home". I just laugh when ever they tell me my parents say that.

Well....I have nothing else to say except for my conclusion. So how is your life. I will read your blog if you comment on mine. WOW! Three sentences already and this makes four! I guess its time for me to make another paragraph.

So like I was saying.I'm just talking to you wasting time because I fave nothing else to write. OH WAIT! I don't like to read certain types of books. I don't like to play certain games. I like to swim and dive into the water. Oh look there goes that fifth sentence... well now sixed so I guess its time for my conclusion.

So that's basically my life. I go to church and play an Caribbean instrument. I'm never home on the weekends or any day for that matter because i don't like boredom. I have a couple of best friends and I like to play games. This is the end or at least all I am telling you about me.
